Безработица среди молодежи Китая бьет рекорды. Почему для них нет работы?

Команда iStatist Китай опубликовал неожиданные официальные данные, согласно которым уровень безработицы среди городской молодежи в возрасте от 16 до 24 лет в апреле превысил 20%.
Безработица среди китайской молодежи выросла, несмотря на возобновление роста экономики страны после отмены режима пандемийных. Показатель увеличивается даже на фоне снижения общего уровня безработицы с 6,1% в апреле 2022 года до 5,2% год спустя.
Будущее выглядит мрачным, поскольку Китай готовится к дальнейшему росту безработицы, так как в этом году университет закончат рекордные 11,6 млн студентов, что почти на 40% больше, чем в 2019 году.
Конечно, количество безработной молодежи относительно невелико по сравнению с 486-миллионной городской рабочей силой Китая. Но именно эта возрастная категория привлекает наибольшее внимание. Беспокойство и разочарование студентов колледжей может повлиять на уверенность всего общества, предупреждает Центр исследований развития, правительственный аналитический центр.
Хотя эта проблема обострилась после пандемии, она отчасти обусловлена именно этим периодом. Когда разразилась эпидемия COVID-19, многие китайские студенты предпочли продлить свое обучение. Это вызвало резкий приток студентов, который теперь, после окончания пандемии, готовы начать работу. Тем более, что многие выпускники отложили поиск работы в прошлом году, чтобы сдать вступительные экзамены на получение высших степеней или на государственную службу. В итоге более поздние соискатели упустили лучшие месяцы набора, и теперь они конкурируют за рабочие места со студентами, заканчивающими университет в 2023 году.
Сложность ситуации еще в том, что все большее число выпускников в Китае применяют подход, при котором они бессистемно подают заявления о приеме на работу в надежде, что хоть одно из них будет принято. Это создает хаос и для работодателей, и для самих кандидатов на должность.
Правительство стремится направить новые таланты в высокотехнологичные отрасли, такие как аэрокосмическая промышленность, биотехнологии и электромобили, которые растут быстрее, чем другие сферы экономики. Эксперты прогнозируют, что в этих областях будут хорошие перспективы трудоустройства.
Данные недавнего опроса показывают, что 57% выпускников инженерных специальностей уже получили предложение о работе, в то время как среди их коллег, изучавших гуманитарные науки, таких всего 41%.
Как ни странно, менее образованные представители китайской молодежи имеют больше шансов найти работу. У молодых людей с профессиональным или средним образованием есть необходимые практические навыки. Поэтому их с удовольствием принимают на многочисленные заводы и фабрики страны. Выпускникам вузов остается ждать подходящей вакансии и требовать от властей принять меры для стимулирования работодателей открывать новые рабочие места для квалифицированных специалистов.
